Privacy Notice

Last updated: 30 May 2026

1. Who we are

Funding Radar UK is operated by Billy Wilson, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as Funding Radar UK. Billy Wilson is the data controller of personal data processed in connection with the Service. You can reach us via our contact page.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, password (stored hashed), and the funding categories or business details you choose to share.
  • Communications — support requests, feedback and any other messages you send us.
  • Usage and technical data — pages viewed, features used, device/browser type, IP address, approximate location and other diagnostic information.
  • Billing data — when you subscribe, our payment provider Paddle collects your billing details (name, address, payment method, VAT info). We receive a record of the transaction (plan, amount, subscription status) but not your full payment card details.

3. How we use your data and our legal basis

  • Provide the Service (creating your account, delivering funding alerts, processing your subscription) — performance of a contract.
  • Security and fraud prevention (protecting accounts, detecting abuse) — legitimate interests.
  • Product improvement and analytics (understanding which features are useful) — legitimate interests.
  • Customer support (responding to your queries) — performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
  • Marketing emails about Funding Radar UKconsent, which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link.
  • Legal and regulatory compliance (e.g. tax, responding to lawful requests) — legal obligation.

4. Who we share your data with

  • Hosting and backend infrastructure providers that store and serve our database, files and application.
  • Email delivery providers used to send transactional and alert emails.
  • Analytics providers used to understand product usage.
  • Paddle — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payments, subscription management, tax compliance and invoicing, and acts as an independent controller for the payment data it collects. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on adequacy decisions or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / EU Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data remains protected.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (e.g. financial records for tax purposes, typically up to 6 years).

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten");
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We aim to respond to rights requests within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege principles — to protect your personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take security seriously.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
